Obesity Voices Back to the questionnaire

Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice

Sella Therapies · Last updated 23 July 2026

What this notice covers

This notice explains how Sella Therapies (“we”, “us”) handles consumer health data, including data collected through our questionnaire. It is provided under the Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370, and similar state laws.

What we collect

Through the questionnaire we collect voluntary, self-reported information in the following categories:

We collect this information only when you choose to submit the questionnaire.

Where it comes from

Directly from you, in your own answers. We do not obtain consumer health data about you from data brokers, advertising networks, social media platforms, healthcare providers, or any other outside source.

How we protect your anonymity

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifier. We do not record your IP address alongside your answers, and we do not place tracking cookies on the questionnaire. We have no way to connect your answers to you, and we cannot identify you from what you submit.

As with any website, our hosting provider briefly processes visitors’ IP addresses in order to deliver the page to your browser. This is never linked to questionnaire responses and is not used to identify you.

Why we collect it

To understand the experiences, needs, and unmet needs of people living with obesity, and to inform the development and positioning of our products and services. This is market research.

Who we share it with

We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share it with advertising networks, data brokers, or social media platforms.

The questionnaire runs on Google Forms. Google stores and processes responses on our behalf as our service provider. Responses reach us in the same anonymous form in which you submit them.

We may share aggregated, non-identifiable summaries internally and with service providers who help us analyze the data under contract.

The optional link to ResearchMatch

At the end of the questionnaire we link to ResearchMatch, a national volunteer registry for health research. ResearchMatch is a not-for-profit registry funded by the National Institutes of Health, maintained at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and overseen by the Vanderbilt Institutional Review Board. It is open to people in the United States.

Following that link is optional and takes you to a website we do not operate. We pass nothing to ResearchMatch when you click, and we receive nothing back. We cannot tell whether you followed the link, and we cannot connect a ResearchMatch registration to anything you wrote here.

If you choose to register, you give your details to ResearchMatch rather than to us, and their privacy statement governs what happens next. Registering places you in a general registry that many approved researchers may search — it is not a list held by us, and it does not sign you up for any particular study.

How long we keep it

We retain questionnaire responses for 24 months from collection, then delete them.

Your rights

Washington and Nevada residents have the right to confirm whether we collect their consumer health data, to access it, to withdraw consent, and to request deletion.

Please note: because responses are collected anonymously, we cannot locate an individual response after submission and therefore cannot fulfill an access or deletion request for a specific submission. This is a consequence of the anonymity that protects you.

You can withdraw your consent at any point before you submit by closing the questionnaire. Nothing is recorded until you press submit.

To make a request, write to research@sellatherapies.com. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying with “Appeal” in the subject line, and we will give you our decision and our reasoning in writing. If your appeal is unsuccessful, you may raise a complaint with the Washington State Office of the Attorney General.

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom

Because responses are anonymous and cannot be traced to an identifiable person, they do not constitute personal data under the GDPR or UK GDPR. The rights that depend on locating your data — access, rectification, and erasure — cannot be exercised for the same reason we cannot fulfill them for anyone: we do not know which response is yours.
